Pass on traditions to younger generatioins while being energized by their enthusiasm and fresh insights.
Strengthen the faith of families and individuals at home.
Provide an environment where new ways of living one's faith can be practiced.
To promote growth and understanding of liturgical events and how to weave their meaning into our everyday lives.
LIFT is for everyone...Singles, Couples, College Students, Grandma & Grandpa, Empty Nesters, Newcomers, Retired People, Guests, Children, Teenagers, Parents...EVERYONE!!

+ Educating our youth on the Catechism of the Catholic Church is the specific responsibility of adult and young adult volunteers in our parish. Using specially designed programs, Bible stories, doctrine, Scripture, prayer and the sacraments are presented from September to May in age-appropriate ways. Catechists are a vital component in the life of our parish. All catechists and helpers must complete child protection clearances before engaging in this ministry. If you are interested in volunteering to be a Catechist or Catechist Assistant, please contact Angie Felicetty at (724) 748-6700 ext. 112
Vacation Bible School (VBS)
+ A well-loved summer tradition for Beloved Disciple families, the Vacation Bible School program is coordinated with Holy Trinity Lutheran Church. More than 100 children from preschool through 6th grade meet every morning for a week in June or July to learn about God’s immense love for them, as well as about Bible stories, heroes and saints of the Church, and pray together as friends. Information about this fun and faith-filled program is provided in the parish bulletin early each spring. If you are interested in volunteering to help with VBS, please call Michelle Boarts at (724) 784-6700 ext. 116.
+ Beloved Disciple Youth Ministry is a parish-wide effort to embrace the middle school and high school teens of our parish and walk with them on their faith journey. The mission to “Grow Catholic disciples of Jesus Christ and to awaken a new generation of believers” is being reached by incorporating fun and service through retreats and educational sessions for Lent and Advent.
All youth leaders and helpers must complete child protection clearances before engaging in this ministry. For more information about our Youth Ministry Program or to volunteer, please contact Melissa Ralston at (724) 748-6700 ext. 113.
Rite of Christian Initiation (RCIA)
+ For adults and young people who want to explore the Catholic Church, this ministry accompanies those on a faith journey and assists both the non-baptized and others already baptized. Team members create a comfortable learning atmosphere which includes reading and studying the bible, learning about the Catholic faith and discussing personal faith experiences. The discussion center on the Sunday readings, traditions of the Church and learning to apply Jesus to everyday life. This is an exciting and rewarding program for those that choose this ministry. For more information about our RCIA program, contact Deacon Owen Wagner at (724) 748-6700 ext. 110.
