We are very excited about our new Faith Formation program and would like to share some more information about the program. Our curriculum for Kindergarten- Fifth grade is Spirit of Truth from the Sophia Institute, and is EDGE for Sixth – Eighth grades. EDGE is a new program being used throughout the Erie Diocese. Instead of a traditional classroom model, it uses a youth ministry format to better engage young people in their faith. In addition to these there are other times for Sacramental Preparation for First Reconciliation and First Holy Communion. The transition for Confirmation in the diocese of Erie from 11th grade to 9th grade continues. This coming year students in 9th and 10th grade gather to be further formed in their faith and prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. Our classes consist of two Sundays a month of K-5 classroom instruction and EDGE, as well as one Family Day on an additional Sunday each month for parents to attend with their children. During the two monthly days of classroom instruction/EDGE, we offer simultaneous Adult formation for parents and all adults of the parish.
2024 Faith Formation Calendar:
The start time of CLASS days is 9:15 and FAMILY days is 9:30. All sessions will run until 10:45. Grades 6-7-8 who are in the EDGE program will meet in the triple classroom beginning on January 7th, NOT at the Knights of Columbus hall.

On Family Days, students and their families should meet from 9:30-10:45 in the Faith Formation wing of Beloved Disciple.
