A Message from Bishop Persico

Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,

On June 28th, the Church celebrates the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, the two Apostles who gave their lives for Christ in Rome. Each year, the Peter’s Pence Collection is taken up throughout the Church on or near this Solemnity. This year, the collection will be taken up in our parishes on the weekend of June 27 and 28.

The Peter’s Pence Collection supports the charitable works of our Holy Father, Pope Leo XIV, the successor of St. Peter, as he responds to some of the most urgent needs of people throughout the world, including relief to victims of natural disasters such as earthquakes and floods. Peter’s Pence also helps our Holy Father support seminaries and religious houses, orphanages, and medical facilities in developing nations, as well as many other charitable works.

From the beginning the Church has made it a priority to help the most in need among our brothers and sisters in the human family. Your prayers and contributions will allow this important work to continue.

Through our support of the Peter’s Pence Collection, we are also helping to strengthen the ties that bind us together as the Family of God. Thank you for your generosity.

Online Giving:  Beloved Disciple is using MP eGiving (Realm) to provide you with easier and more convenient ways to give. This was a decision made by the Diocese of Erie for all parishes to convert to MP eGiving. The conversion took place on Tuesday, December 2nd. All Vanco donors were transferred into the new eGiving site. All your recurring donations will remain the same; however, if you do wish to change anything you will need to go into the new URL (below) and set up a new account.
