Legion of Mary(BD)

The Legion of Mary spirituality is based on St. Louis-Marie de Montfort’s true devotion to Mary. The Legion sees as its priority the spiritual and social welfare of each individual and is dedicated to bringing themselves and others closer to God through prayer and action. The Legion of Mary is the largest apostolic organization of lay people in the Catholic Church, with well over 3 million active members in almost every country of the world. It has been active in the United States since 1931, has been approved by the last 6 Popes, and was endorsed by the Second Vatican Council. Members meet once a week for prayer, planning and discussion in a family setting. Then they do two hours of definite work each week in pairs and under the guidance of their spiritual director.

The Legion of Mary meets in the library every Wednesday at 6pm to pray, share and then do Spiritual Works of Mercy during the week, like visiting prisons, the homebound and those in nursing homes. Join us to see what we are about!
